If it helps, I really really like the last style you've been experimenting with. The textures make your drawings look much less flat and the final result is immensely more interesting. And I definitely see an improvement in the use of those textures from September to December. Mind you, I might be a bit biased because I'm pretty much over the anime look lately, and I've always loved the use of lines for shading, though I've not been able to master it myself. Ever since saw the illustrations in "The Edge Chronicles" done by Chris Riddell I loved that style. Anyhow, in my opinion you've got something good going of late, so keep it up!
